We propose you a hearing comprehension exercise. We're going to give you a paragraph every week (Mondays) to practice with it. Try to understand every single word. We advise you to write it, as if it were a dictation. You can send us your writtings here below clicking in 'comments'. We'll give you the right answer the following week. Try it!
Here is the transcription to the last week listening:
As the policeman approached the shopping center to check on a shoplifting incident, he noticed a man with several plastic bags walking quickly toward a parked car. He ordered the man to stop, shouting the order three times. Finally he pulled out his gun and shot him dead. The man never heard the policeman's order because he was a student at the local school for the deaf.
The man couldn't heard the policeman order because he were a student at the local school for the deaf.
ReplyDeleteThat's right Rosalía, you did it! There are only a few mistakes:
ReplyDelete1. It's not " couldn't heard", but "never heard".
2. You forgot the 's (Saxon genitive) in policeman's.
3. It's "he was a student" and not "he were a student". Student is singular, and the verb must go in singular too ("was" instead of "were").
You can check now the whole listening in the blog because the script is posted.
Well done!! Try the next one. The more you do, the better you will.
I made a lot of mistakes. Next time I'll do my best to get the answer. Thanks, 4nton1o.
