To expect Utilizamos el verbo "expect" cuando estamos esperando algo que sabemos que ocurrirá con certeza, ya que lo hemos concretado anteriormente. Estoy esperando una llamada a las seis. I'm expecting a phone call at six. Te espero a las siete para cenar. I'll expect you at seven o'clock for dinner. No te esperaba. I wasn't expecting you. Él no esperaba eso. He wasn't expecting that. Ella está esperando mellizas. She's expecting twins. "Expect" se usa también para expresar lo que suponemos. La palabra "that" es opcional y se suele omitir. Supongo que estás cansado. I expect (that) you're tired. Supongo que no quieres que diga nada. I expect (that) you don't want me to say anything. Supongo que ella traerá a su novio. I expect (that) she'll bring her boyfriend. Supongo que se cancelará. I expect (that) it will be cancelled. Supongo que no lloverá. I don't expect (that) it will rain.
